Why we won't sex them:
There will probably be 50% females in the pen but watching them (potentially for hours) waiting for them to call (the only way to identify them), then attempting to catch the bird you have seen is almost impossible as all the birds will panic and hit the roof as soon as we enter the pen. This will stress them out and potentially injure them which we are not prepared to do and is why they are sold unsexed. We have to catch the first bird we can safely catch so apologies we can't sex them or catch individual birds.
If we have a particular bird that we know the sex of, then females are £45 each.
Guinea Fowl make great alarm birds and will let you know if anyone is around, this does include neighbours so they are not suitable for built up areas as they are very loud!
They are very hardy birds and naturally will roost high up in the tree's. In order to prevent the fox taking them it is important to have a large covered run for them with high perches. They don't like being handled, although you can get them quite tame by bribing them with food.
