Birds have a specific requirement for fibre. They must find fibre in the feed or in their immediate environment. It has been shown that if birds are deficient in fibre, it can lead to feather-pecking with feathers being used by the bird as a source of fibre.
We use these large bales here and they keep the hens entertained for weeks/months. Ensure they are kept dry and either stand them on a raised surface or hang in a horse haynet.
They are dense bales weighting up to around 20kg each.
